SOS (again) Sailfish Families!  

Thank you to all our volunteers for stretching themselves last night - some of whom didn’t have swimmers swimming but came anyway! There’s no way the meet would happen without you. 

Which brings us to our next match up against the Highland Park Hurricanes this Saturday. Currently we have only 56% of the volunteer positions filled and are at serious risk of forfeiting. A decision will be made tomorrow. Forfeiture means automatic loss, one less opportunity for swimmers to qualify for Meet of Champs, and risk of keeping our team status next year with WHALe. It is a grave decision that Seven Meadows Sailfish has never taken before. Normally the Board - who volunteers all year and is not paid - can flex to cover missing roles; but there’s no way to cover 26 assignments. 

As a reminder failure to fulfill volunteer responsibilities will result in a fine and potential swimmer ineligibility going forward. And even though minimum requirements may be met, there may be more shifts needed to get through the season. If you have not done so, please make your volunteer selection by noon Friday, at which time a team decision will be made.
